TWIS #15

WHAT WE DID:   This week in science we did the Marshmallow Challenge again. We did the challenge two times because the first time we wanted to see how our group worked together if you wasn't able to talk to each other for the next move. I found that a little harder because I wasn't sure what the person next to me was going to do next. On that time of the challenge our tower went up to 42 inche, then we did the challenge again but this time we were able to talk to each other. The challenge was easier when we talked to each other because when know what was the persons move so we knew what to do next. This time the tower went up to 75 we worked better when we are able to talk to each other. Something else we did this week is do a video for our 10th grade science teacher. Doing this video showed me how much i grown in science and made me realize all the grate times i had in 9th grade science.

WHAT I LEARNED: Something I learned in this week  is Doing a challenge without speaking is very hard. Its not easy to do something with someone else not talking when u need to. I learned different   ways to talk to each other without using ur words. You can use your hands to point where out what u want, or move your mouth like talking but not using words so they can read what your saying. I learned that its easier to work together now that we know each other because now were not shy to talk to each other to tell them how we feel. Something else i learned is doing the video helps people understand more what your talking about and its better because the person can see your personatlty

this week in sci. #12

What we did:    This week in science we got spiders and we got to put them in the homes we made for them. the spider that my team got it came with a leg missing i thought it would die and so did my team but we kept it to see if we would be right. And we were the spider dead the very next day. So then we had to wait again untill he new spider came. We also had to use new words. Something else we did was that we made little booklet putting everything we been doing and putting the things with the spiders. you have to draw the environment its in.

What we learned:  Something I learned this week is how spider cant live every long without a leg! Another thing we learned this week by seeing how the spider react to this kind of new environment is that it don't move very much it can stay in the some spot for a long time, I think it might be because it might not like being in that environment. I also learned that the cellar spider can be easily be mistaken for a "Daddy long leg" spider. We learned some words but i'm not exactly sure what they all means just yet. Something else i learned  that the booklet we making in class can play a big part in this unit because you can look back and see how everything changed and how everything stayed the same.

this week in science # 13

If we didn't put the  fruit flies in the spider habitat
then the spider would die because then they would have nothing to eat. They wont be able to srvaie  with no food.

This week in sci. # 11

This is week the first thing we did we we had to 7 or 8 words that David put around the room and we had to put what we thought they meant or draw what we thought it meant or if you didn't know ask a question if you really wasn't sure on it. Then another thing we did was we went out to the park  to see what we could  find to put in the spiders home. We was able to take anything we wanted from the park but we was not allow to take any flower's. When we was in the park we also had to take picture's of anything you thought was important. So  i took pictures of trees and flowers and ect...
Then the next's day we had to research about the spiders that we are going to have. then the other person had to design how they wanted the home to be and after we designed it was had to draw the top, and side view of the home and label whats  in it.

This week I learned the meaning of the word Plant Cell which i think it has something to do inside the plant. I also learned the Food Chain which its how the animals eat for example its like animal 1 eats animal 2 and animal 3 eat animal 1 and so on. I also learned what the Water Cycle which is like the rain goes to the sea, or  ocean  and then the sun makes it go back up and start that cycle all over again. I learned that you can find a lot of animals if you dig in the ground  another thing I learned is if you going to dig in the parks ground you  HAVE TO put back everything how you found it.

Human Impact Ad Campaign

this is one of the photo i did today
this drawing shows how in a few years theirs
going to be a lot of trash every where you go.
So if you dont want to see your community like that
then to pick up trash.

this draw show that if we all work together and
pay our parts in cleaning the community then the world world would be a better place.

this month in science

this month in science we started a human impact project where we first had to pick the topic you most liked so i picked waist.  When we got in our group we had to think about what we were going to do with our campaign. So David  had people come so they can talk about the different topic so we can get a idea
then after that we had to think about a design that we wanted to do for the shirts that we were making. Then we had to come thing to say for the shirt like what we wanted it to say so they can understand what the photo means. earlier in the month we did a survey on human impact then after we got all the data we need then we put it into the computer so it can be graphed.

what we learned this week was to do survey. we learned how to ask people on the street the questions you need to be answered . i learned how much people care and don't care about the community. we learned how to design the shirts the right way because you have to think about the way the shirt is. and lastly how to do a this month in science
