Wasted: New York City's Giant Garbage Problems

This was about how people trow there garbage on the floor everyday and the way it hurts us and where it  goes.
They said " today, we collect garbage with trucks that use high-polluting diesel fuel and then dump that garbage onto the floor of waste transfer stations that are typically located in poor neighborhoods. we then scoop the garbage up off the floor and load it onto large trucks that also burn high-polluting diesel fuel and ship it to landfills and waste to energy incinerators located away from New York City." This is what they do with the garbage the point of this article was what goes on with the sistem with garbage.
What i thought about the article was that it was very helpful to help us understand that what happen with the garbage after we throw it on the floor and what they do to it. The question that i still have is why dont they have recicle bends people would bottles there and you have a better chance that people would  recicle and it would make everything easier for everyone!! i wonder if they would find a way to get rid of the garbage without polluting our earth..

this week in science #9

What we did:
What we did in science this week we got two different animals just like last week and we did the same thing we had to look at it and see what it has in his on his body parts.  take notes, take photos  then labels the body parts of the animals. Our animal was a perch (fish)  we had to label let say the tail. After we label what we had to label we got to open the body  to see the  inside we took everything out I found the heart, and other parts.

What we learned:
I learned that the perch (fish) it was very hard to open in some parts of the body because of the bones. I also learned that the fish's heart is close to the face. I learned that if you wanted to take the brain out u had to cut on top of the head. I learned that the body parts of the perch is very different then the other animal the people in my class had.

WHATS SAME AND DIFFERENT: There are some thing that are the same and different about the skate and perch. Both skate and perch has gill to breath throw. The only thing different about that is that on the perch the gill are in each side of the body and for the skate the gill are in the bottom of the skate because its flat. Another thing the same and  different about the skate and perch is that the perch lives in freshwater and skate lives in slat water.

this week in science # 8

what we did : this week in science learned about Ventral, Dorsal, Proximal, Distal, Anterior, Posterior view. We got cricket and a crawfish for each group. We got to cut them open and got to see what was inside them. Then we had to take photos of each sides of the body before we cut it open, so we can label the parts.

what I learned:  What i learned so the meaning  of Ventral which  is belly view, I learned what was  Dorsal view which is the back view, Proximal view is close to the center of the body (near), Distal is furthest away from point  of attachment to the body (far), Anterior which is head and lastly Posterior is the tail or opposite of the head. And most imporantly we learned how to use the tooles right before we cut open the animals.

this week in science #7

what we did: This week in science we did a slid show about the tropical Rainforest. We had to do it on climate, landforms, Vegetation, location. I did the slid on climate, I talked about the temperature in the Rainforest. And the way it rains. I also did the slid on sloth. On the slid I talked about how sloth sleeps a lot more then animal does! i also talk how slow a sloth moves just to get to one place to another. I talked about what they eat and how they are a primary consumer. I the After slid as well which is the slid  that show's how the Rainforest look today!

what we learned :  What i learned this week was how to make a powerpoint. We learned about the animal we talked about. We also learned how to work in a group better. We learned on the climate and animals in the Rainforest. we learned about what those animals eat and how they live in there environment.
