     ABOUT SQUID:  Squid are chephalopods of the order  teuthida, which comprises around  3000 species like all other  cephalopoods squid  have a distinct  head, bilateral symmetry a  mantle and  arms. squid like cuttlefish  have  eght arms  arranged in pairs and two  usally longer tentacles. As a squid moves through the water, they stretch in the mantel area. Some of the biggest squid can weigh up to 1,000 pound.
